Our fall field trip yesterday at Shubenacadie Wildlife Park was a splashing success! Junior Terranauts joined us at the park where we spent the day learning about wetlands and the critters that live within them. We started the day off by walking the wetland trail at the park, listening and looking for local birds. Next, we got hands-on and went critter dipping in the wetland. Participants were then able to bring their critters back to the wetland centre to look at them up close under the microscope!After lunch it was feeding time for the resident turtles, and participants were able to keep an eye on them as they explored the grounds. The day ended off with a private tour of the wildlife park, where we met and learned about the 40+ resident species of the park! 🐢🦫🫎
