Special Notes for Summer 2026
Since our Founder & Executive Director Julia is on maternity leave, we will be offering a reduced year of programming, including fewer overnight summer programs. In an effort to accommodate as many participants as we can and maintain our high programming standards, we will be accepting a maximum of 15 participants in each program (up from 12). Additionally, we will be offering 8 day-long field trips in July and August, which require no nomination and are open registration. Participants who are not accepted into an overnight program will be given early access to field trip registration.
Returning Participants
An earn-your-way-back activity is no longer required for returning participants.
Selection
To advance our organization’s mission, 50% of seats in all programs are reserved for participants who come from a disadvantage and/or under-represented background. Remaining seats are filled with participants who meet other criteria, and these participants are selected by Terranaut Club Directors based on their nomination statement.
All first round nominees will be notified of our decision by e-mail around May 12th, and participants that were not selected can be placed on our waiting list if they choose. Please don’t be discouraged if you get placed on a waiting list! Between summer plans changing, illnesses, and other factors, we tend to get quite a bit of movement.
