About

Terranaut Club was founded in 2018 in Nova Scotia, Canada, and is a non profit organization for girls+ that encourages the pursuit of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers through immersive hands-on experiences in science and nature.

We develop and offer unique hands-on programs for middle and high school aged girls+ that take place in Nova Scotia, Canada.

MISSION

To provide girls+ with the opportunity to engage in immersive experiences in science and nature by connecting them with actual women in science and advocates for the environment. Specifically, we aim to work with underprivileged and underrepresented girls+, and our goal is to empower and inspire them to pursue STEM careers and become environmental leaders in their own communities.

VISION

To see girls+ from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds as leaders in STEM fields and as advocates for environmental protection, assisting in closing the gender gap of these disciplines.

For Terranaut Club to be an active contributor in creating more opportunities for girls+ to connect with nature and be mentored by women in science.

For the younger generation of girl+s to be more involved in protecting the Earth, inspiring and empowering a shift towards a greater consciousness about our environmental impact as humans.
